Debating/Persuasive Writing

In term 2 we had a big focus around persuasive writing. We spent some time creating the language and structure around a successful persuasive text. On a particular day, we explored what language we would use in a 'debate' to get our message across for ideas to incorporate into our writing. Here we see the two groups separated off into opposing arguments. For or against the use of cell phones at school. We brainstormed ideas on a piece of paper first and then roll played a debating situation. This language was then apparent in our writing.
